Cooper's Toddler Bed

After having our little monkey climb out of his baby bed several nights in a row, with heavy hearts we decided to convert Cooper's baby bed into a toddler bed.  Didi actually helped me complete this task as Todd was out of town.  Dispite the look on his face in these pictures, he really likes sleeping in his toddler bed and likes the fact that he can get in and out of it with ease.  To my surprise, he stays in his bed pretty well (thank you, God!)  While he likes his new bed, he is quickly outgrowing it in length.  We know that, before much longer, we will have to say good bye to the toddler bed and will say hello to a twin bed!  I am so proud of my big boy but my heart was broken when I realized that, for the first time in over 6 years, we did not have a baby bed in our house!  My boys are growing up way too fast!  Why can't they stay little forever?

Snow Much Fun!

Who would have ever thought that it would snow in Georgia in March?  We couldn't believe it, but it did!  The weather service had called on a few snow flurries, but we really didn't think that anything would stick to the ground.  We went to church that morning and then went to eat at the clubhouse at Indian Creek Golf Course after that.  As we were eating, we noticed that it had started snowing, and it was coming down pretty heavy!  The boys and I got excited and I told Todd that we needed to hurry and get home so that the boys could play in it before it stopped and melted.  As we traveled home, the snow fall got heavier and heavier.  We ran in the house and changed our clothes very quickly.  When we came out, we could not believe how much snow had fallen in a very short amount of time.  The boys had a blast trying to catch snowflakes in their mouths.  They loved making snow angels and really enjoyed throwing snowballs at their daddy and me!  It was truly a special day that we will always remember!

Fun at Mack Daddy's

Carter and Jackson love spending the night at their Mack Daddy's house!  Mack Daddy lets them do just about whatever they want, and they love it!  Here are some pictures from one of the nights that they stayed there!

Carter's Valentine Character Ball

In February, the Kindergarten classes at Young Americans had a Valentine Character Ball.  On this day, the boys and girls were asked to dress up as a story book character of their choice.  Carter chose to dress up as the sheriff from one of his favorite Veggietales books.  They sang songs for the parents and grandparents that were there, ate fingerfoods, and danced the day away.  It was such a fun day.  Here are some pictures of our little cowboy!

What a Cute Crew!

Carter, Jackson and Cooper loved the fact that Ingrid and Amelia came to our house each afternoon when school was out to wait on their mommy and daddy to get home.  They would have the best time playing and dressing up in costumes.  Here are a couple of pictures of them having fun!  The boys sure do miss them now that it's summer!

Happy Birthday Cooper!

Because his birthday is just before Christmas, Cooper gets the opportunity to celebrate his birthday for about a month!  As a family, we always celebrate his birthday on his actual birth date.  However, we know that most everyone is so busy just before Christmas so for the past two years, we have celebrated his birthday with friends and extended family after the new year.  Cooper doesn't seem to mind having an entire month or so dedicated to him so we're running with it-it doesn't hurt that, each time we celebrate, there is always cake for him to eat:)
Here are some pictures from his birthday extravaganza...

On December 21st, our sweet baby boy turned two!  Where has the time gone?  It is so hard to believe that he is quickly turning from our little baby into a curious and fearless little boy!
On the morning of his birthday, we all woke Cooper up by singing "Happy Birthday"!  Of course he ate it up!

After decorating our gingerbread house and making Christmas cookies earlier in the day, we ended his special day with cupcakes and sang "Happy Birthday" to him once again.
Mommy helped Cooper blow out his candles as he made a wish
Yummy!
Look at that face!
We celebrated his birthday in January with an Elmo party.  Once again, Aunt Jenn and her mom made Cooper's outfit and did a fantastic job!  Cooper had a great time at his party and was very thankful for all of his friends and family that were able to come and help him celebrate.
Of course his party would not have been complete without a birthday cake made by BeBe.  It was too cute, and delicious as well!

Oohh...presents!

Once school started back after Christmas break, Cooper celebrated his birthday at school with all of his classmates.
Once again, cupcakes were on the agenda...
Can you tell that Cooper really loves Elmo?

I think it's time for a wet wipe or two...
