Carter Visits The Dentist

Carter had his teeth cleaned for the first time last Wednesday. He did very well and even let them take "pictures" of his teeth.

He let the hygenist "count" his teeth while she cleaned them and he really thought that it was funny that she "colored his teeth pink" with fluoride.

Dr. Proctor, his dentist, was really impressed with the way that Carter's teeth looked. He did say that, from the x-rays, it looks like he may have some crowding of his permanant teeth on the bottom, but that we'd tackle that problem later! I sure hope he doesn't have to have braces like his mommy!

He loved getting all of the stickers and balloons that they gave him while they cleaned his teeth and really enjoyed picking a toy out of the treasure box when he was finished! He was such a good patient! It's still hard for me to believe that he is old enough to get his teeth cleaned!

ALL ABOARD

Carter celebrated his 3rd birthday on Sunday, April 23rd with a Thomas The Tank Engine party! He loves Thomas and picked the theme out all by himself! He LOVED the train that his Didi brought to the party for everyone to ride-it was a huge hit with all of his friends as well!

His BeBe made his Thomas cake and did a wonderful job! This was all Carter talked about for two days before his party! He wanted to know when his BeBe was going to make his cake and he wanted to make sure that she knew to make it a Thomas one! He absolutely adored it!

He really wasn't into opening his presents because he wanted to ride the train. He did manage to open a few at his party and quickly fell in love with the Thomas scrapbook that his "Aunt" Kelli made him! He wants to know when I'm going to put his pictures in it!

He had a wonderful time and got so many wonderful gifts, but enjoyed playing with his friends the most!

Clippity Do Da

Jackson FINALLY had his first haircut this past Tuesday. A new hair salon just for children, Clippity Do Da, opened up right off the square in Covington and we waited to get his first haircut there. The shop is too cute-my pictures really don't do it justice, but I was making pictures of Jackson, not the shop!

Here is a picture of Jackson sitting in the airplane chair that he got his hair cut in. He picked this chair over the police car chair that they also have in their shop.

This is a picture of the back of his hair, just before it was cut! It's hard to believe that my baby is growing up into a little boy already!

This is a picture of the first lock of hair that was cut! Ms. Christy did a wonderful job of cutting his hair! She was so patient and kind. We have known Christy and her family for a long time-we went to church together when I was a little girl at Calvary Baptist!

Ta-Daa! Here's a picture of Jackson and Ms. Christy when his hair cut was finished! Isn't he just too cute!!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

This past Saturday our church hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Carter had a great time finding eggs, but soon became very curious as to what was inside of each one!

Jackson, on the other hand, didn't really care that candy and prizes were inside of each egg, he just wanted to see how many "balls" he could get into his basket!

They both couldn't wait to see the Easter Bunny! Jackson was very interested in his long ears and his pink nose!
They absolutely loved him and cried when their time with the bunny was over!
