Jackson's "Super" Birthday

Jackson celebrated his third birthday with a Super Heroes theme. Spiderman has been his favorite Super Hero but he decided to include Batman and Superman in his celebration! Birthday celebrations started on his actual birthday, October 21st. We had a family party at our house, complete with Jackson's favorite, a cookie cake! His Mimi and Didi, BeBe and Stu Stu, and Mack Daddy gave him presents and he enjoyed playing with them all!


Mimi and Didi gave him Spiderman pajamas and bedroom shoes-we wear them ALL the time!

This is probably Jackson's favorite present-a remote controlled Spiderman! He is too neat! Thanks, BeBe and Stu Stu!


Mack Daddy gave him a kit that you put together to make different vehicles such as a race car, truck or helicopter. This is Carter's favorite thing to play with!

He had such a wonderful party with his friends! He especially loved his Spiderman cake that his Aunt BeBe made him! The moonwalk and his Spiderman motorcycle from his mommy and daddy were big hits, too!

Tub Time

Cooper loves taking baths! He especially loves to splash the water in the tub everywhere. Whomever gives him a bath usually winds up with more water on them than Cooper had on him in the tub!! Here he is enjoying a bath in his new bathroom.

We've Moved!

As most of you know, we have moved into a new house. We are somewhat settled and are loving it-now if only our old house would sell! It is such a relief to know that Carter and Jackson can go outside and play without me being scared to death that they will become an afternoon snack for some rotweillers-which happened a lot at our old house!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

This fall, Carter was FINALLY old enough to play baseball. He barely made the cutoff and was the youngest on his team. He was so excited to finally be able to go out onto the field like his cousins Will and Mason. His team was the Marlins and he had a wonderful coach who had a lot of patience with Carter. Although he had never really played other than in our back yard, he did fairly well and got better and better with each game. By the end, he was throwing well and was making contact with the ball. The very first time he got a hit, he carried his bat with him all around the bases. He didn't really have a clue as to what to do other than run (forget listening to the first and third base coaches!). He made it to second fine but instead of slowing up there, he decided to keep running and was tagged out just before he got to third. However, he didn't realize this in all of his excitement, so he kept running and made it home. He came into the dugout and proudly proclaimed that he had made a "homerun". It was too funny!! His team was really good and only lost 3 games. They ended up in second place in their division!

Stitches

Carter fell off of his BeBe and Stu Stu's bed in October and had to go to the hospital for his first set of stitches. The boys and I had planned to stay at Mimi's house that night because Todd was out of town. We had just finished supper and I was about to give Cooper a bath when he came running into the kitchen covered in blood. He says that he was rolling on the bed back and forth and rolled off and hit the door of her armorie. Mama and I took off with him to the hospital and Lenetta came to sit with the boys. Daddy, who had been at our new house making cubbies for the boys bookbags, met us there and actually sat in the room with Carter while they stitched him up-mommy and Mimi waited right outside the door! I was so worried at how he would do, but he was such a trooper! He got three stitches and never cried while they were doing the procedure! We are so proud of him for being so brave! We know that with three boys, this will probably be the first of many trips to the ER!

School Days

It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and that school has started back! This year, all three boys are going to school. Carter goes to Young Americans Christian School three days a week and is in K-4-he will tell you that he is NOT in Pre-K, but in K-4. He hasn't grasped the fact that they are one in the same! He only goes until 12:15, so it's not a full day for him. Jackson and Cooper are going to the Children's Ministry Center at our church. They both go on Mondays and Wednesdays until 1:00, which allows me time to get Carter from school and head down to pick them up. Jackson is in the Older Two's class and Cooper is in the Babies class. It is so weird not to have a child at home. This is the first time that I have never had at least one of them at home with me. It does make running errands a whole lot easier, though! The Lazy Days of Summer

The "Lazy Days of Summer" were filled with a lot of fun for us! While we didn't go on any vacations this summer, we had a great time swimming in Mimi and Didi's pool, playing outside, and getting into all sorts of mischief! This summer was also filled with more "firsts" for Cooper. Here are some of our favorite pictures from the summer! We hope you enjoy them!

Here's Cooper in his Bumbo seat! He used to love sitting in it, but not so much any more-he is getting to be too big of a boy for it!

Cooper LOVES his swing-it's not unusual for us to find him fast asleep in it. On this particular day, though, he looks to be hiding from the camera!


He also loves his Jumparoo and usually jumps himself to sleep in it-it's hard work being a baby!

Cooper's Eye Surgery

Cooper had eye surgery on July 31st to correct his "lazy eyes". The surgery was very successful and the optometrist is very happy with the results. He did explain to us that he may have to have subsequent surgeries to totally correct the problem, though. We can tell a huge difference in Cooper's development and his awareness of his surroundings since the surgery. He is exploring things in detail and really notices "little things" more. We are so proud of him! He was such a "big boy" for the surgery and did remarkably well! Here are some pictures of his day!

Cooper's 6 Month Photos

It's so hard to believe that our baby is now 6 months old! He has changed so much in just the past few months. He still has the sweetest disposition and is a very easy baby overall! He has become more mobile, which is fun right now, but won't be such fun in a couple of more months when he is into everything! Carter and Jackson still love him, sometimes a little too much and have to be reminded that he is a baby and that they can't be so rough with him. Try explaining that to a stubborn two year old!!! Here are his 6 month pictures that we had made Saturday. We wound up taking him to the Picture People at the mall as they had done pictures of Carter and Jackson in the same Georgia outfit that you will see Cooper wearing. Now we have a picture of each of them in their Georgia attire with their daddy's signed Mark Richt football! We hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we do!
