Blog Update

As you can see, we have updated our family blog a little. I got the idea from a friend's blog. She has just recently updated her family's blog and I got inspired when I saw it! We hope you like it just as much as we do! Please remember to check back often as I will try to update our blog weekly! Also, please feel free to leave us a comment or two-we love reading them!

I saw this on my friend's blog and thought I would give it a try-(Thanks, Brandi!) It's really neat...all you have to do once you click on the site is to type in the address to your blog and it scans it for repeated words then makes a word cloud. You can copy it, email it, or even print tee-shirts.

March 24, 2001...
It's hard to believe that 7 years have passed since Todd and I said "I Do"! Time really does fly by when you're having fun!!! Forgive me for sounding a little "cheesy" but 7 years ago I married the most amazing man! Todd is truly a gift from God to me. He is patient and understanding when I am not. He is practical when I seem to be living in a "dream world". He is laid back when I am stressed out. When I am down, he lifts me up! He truly balances me out on all levels!

Who would have thought 7 years ago that today we would have three amazing boys to share our lives with? Todd is such a wonderful father! I love to see him with our boys. He is the bath giver, baseball coach, wrestle buddy, and so much more. The boys and I really feel at a loss when he is out of town!

For those of you who do not know the story, Todd and I met at a Fraternity/Sorority social in college. We were at a local restaurant/bar called Spyro Gyro in Carrollton. I wasn't even going to go to the social but my roommate, who also happens to be my cousin, Holly, talked me into going. Boy was I glad that I went! Todd was the first boy that I ever gave my phone number to that I really didn't know well. He called me a few days later and then we met up again at another local restaurant/bar called The Mansion the following Thursday. That is where I asked him out-yes, I asked him out on our first date. Our first date was on March 14, 1997. We had dinner at Spyro Gyro (there weren't a lot of restaurants in Carrollton at that time) and then went to see Vegas Vacation at the movies. The rest, as they say, is history. When he proposed, Todd once again took me to Spyro Gyro for dinner. When we got back into his truck after eating, he popped the question. That was on March 22, 2000. We got married 1 year and 2 days later on March 24, 2001. It was such a special day-definitely a fairy tale come true!

Todd-Happy Anniversary, baby! It has been 7 of the best years of my life! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us!

Easter 2008

We had a wonderful Easter this year! We started the morning out by getting up bright and early to go to the early service at church and then to Sunday School. When we finished with church, we hurried home to open Easter baskets. The boys loved looking at all of the goodies that the bunny brought them! Then, we got ready for our big Easter lunch. We had it at our new house this year and had a wonderful time of food and fellowship! After lunch we headed over to Donnie and Tonya Coe's house for a huge egg hunt. Little did the boys know that the Easter Bunny would make a surprise visit to their house. We made pictures and then hunted eggs. Everyone had a great time-thank you Mr. Donnie and Mrs. Tonya for hosting such a great egg hunt! Also, a huge thank you to BeBe and Stu Stu for bringing the Easter Bunny to the hunt! We were so glad that we got to have pictures taken with him this year! What a fun-filled day! We hope that you all had a great Easter as well!

Egg Dying

This year we colored Easter Eggs at Mimi and Didi's house on Saturday afternoon. The boys all had a wonderful time seeing who could be the most creative! They all did a wonderful job and their eggs looked great! Here are some pictures from their fun and colorful afternoon!

Jackson's First Game

Jackson had his very first t-ball game on Saturday. He was so excited to finally get the chance to be on the big field! All of the players were too cute! He is on the Astros and played first base. He did a great job except for the fact that he thought that he had to get every ball, even when they were hit to third base! I really think that he will be our sports boy! He already wants to play football but I told him that he had to wait until he was 7-he still doesn't understand why he can't play now! Here are some pictures from his big game.

We're Going On An Egg Hunt...

Cooper, Jackson and Carter all had Egg Hunts at their schools last week. They all had a lot of fun and found lots of eggs! Cooper and Jackson had their egg hunts inside because of the rain, but they still managed to have a wonderful time! Carter's class went on their first field trip for their egg hunt. They went to Maxell park in Conyers and had a blast! Here are some pictures from their big days!

Here is a picture of "The Young America's Bus" as Carter calls it. This bus was purchased this year from money that was raised for Other's Day-his school's big fundraiser. Carter was so excited that his field trip day had arrived so that he could ride the bus! Ever since his teacher had told them that they would be riding the bus to their Egg Hunt, he asked a million times each day how much longer it would be until he got to ride the bus. He could hardly believe that the day had arrived for him to get on it!
