On a side note, I had first thought that I wouldn't mention the whole coyote thing to the boys but then decided that I needed to take this opportunity to talk to them about the dangers of wild animals and especially at how, even though coyotes look so much like dogs, they really aren't and can be very harmful to us. I was really directing all of this at Jackson-he absolutely loves animals and I was fearful of the possibility of him seeing another coyote in our yard and going up to pet it! After my little speech I told them that we should be thankful that daddy was here to kill it. Carter looks up at the sky and, without batting an eye, holds his hands up and says "Thank You, Jesus". It was too cute! I couldn't help but giggle a little at how he said it!
Here is a picture of Wile E. Coyote

Here is a picture of Todd proudly displaying his trophy! Don't laugh but I MADE him wear the gloves that he has on to touch the mangy varmit-I did not want him to get any sort of disease from this critter!

Oh my gosh...that might be the funniest pictures of Todd I have seen since West GA days, and I'm glad he didn't loose any teeth over it..ha ha. Thank goodness you guys saw it before the boys went out to play!
See you soon!

I think Todd should enter that photo in the Ga Outdoor News magazine and it would look great mounted above your mantle! Too funny! We hear coyotes a lot at night and they sound very erie!!
Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Celulite, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://eliminando-a-celulite.blogspot.com. A hug.
The last time I shot a small animal that dared to unwittingly trespass on my private property, I was pretty proud of myself as well!
He must have missed the No Coyotes Allowed sign...
Nice work Todd!
I had a similar experience a few years back.
Lucky for me, my kids were indoors at the time as well, or else they may have scared the coyote family off before I could shoot them all.
The Mom was easy, but the pups were a little more tricky to get since they were smaller. And now they are stuffed in my den.

Good job on recognizing the importance of your children thanking Jesus when you get the exciting opportunity to shoot a small animal.
Those 10 commandments are rather over-rated in my opinion.
I am sure Jesus is especially proud of your husband's marksmanship!
