Storybook Ball

In February, the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes at Carter's school had a Storybook Character Ball in which students were to dress as their favorite storybook characters. Carter didn't want to dress as David from his favorite book No, David! Instead, he wanted to dress up as a baseball player. Luckily his cousin, Will, has a wonderful baseball book, Casey Back At Bat, and let Carter use it for the ball. The ball coinsided with Valentine's Day so the children sang a song about loving God. It was so sweet! After they performed, the children went to their assigned tables to eat some tasty treats like chicken nuggets, cheese, fruit, chips and cookies. When they were finished eating, the DJ played music for the boys and girls to dance to. It was too cute seeing all of the boys and girls dancing around! Carter had a great time and even saved a dance for Mimi! It will be a special day that Carter will treasure forever!
