Carter's Birthday Celebration

Carter's birthday celebration continued for a few days after his birthday party. On Wednesday, April 23rd, we celebrated Carter's birthday with a party at school. Ironically, it was Western Day at his school so it was only fitting that his party theme continued on to his party there. Here is the birthday boy with his cupcake.

Carter and his teacher, Ms. Donna, posing for the camera.

Carter thinks hard about what wish to make while his classmates sing "Happy Birthday" to him!

Here is a picture of Carter's classmates dressed up in their western wear enjoying their cupcakes!

Yee-Haw!

That night, we took Carter out for his birthday. He chose to go to Longhorn and told me that "it is the only place where cowboys eat". He was surprised when the waiters and waitresses came over to sing the "Fried Chicken" song. This is their version of "Happy Birthday" and Carter knows all the words to it. He thinks it is so funny to hear them sing it, but was a little embarrased when they sang it to him!

Is the song over yet?? Carter was glad to see the wait staff go away!

Here is a picture taken of our birthday boy at the exact time that he was born five years earlier-7:53 pm. We were in the van headed home from dinner when I snapped this picture. My how much he has grown up
