Jackson's First Day of School

Jackson had his very first day of school today. He was such a big boy! Here's a picture of him walking into school.

Once inside, we went to the playroom. He went right in and started playing, like he'd been doing this for the past few months. He quickly found a Buzz Lightyear, which made everything even better as Toy Story is his FAVORITE movie right now!

He also took some turns at the basketball goal before I left.

When I went to pick him up, I just knew he would be upset because he was one of the last ones there (I picked up Carter from his school first). However, he was playing in his class and having a great time. Ms. Cathy, his teacher, said that he didn't shed a tear the entire day and that he didn't even ask for me-something that's unusual for him these days! He is becoming such a big boy and I am finding it more difficult to let him go than I did Carter. I guess that I still think of him as my baby! Let's hope that the rest of the year goes as smoothly as today did!

Back To School

Carter's first day of school was today! He is going to Young Americans Christian School, but only goes twice a week, from 9:00-12:00. We feel very blessed that he got into this school and that he will not have to go to public school at all! He was a little apprehensive at first, as he is going to a new school that is much bigger than his old one. It made it a little easier for him to know that Mason, Ross and Hunter go to the same school and that Mason helped walk him in
today! Here's a picture of him just before we walked to his class.

Here he is showing off his cool bookbag-each child in his class has the same one with their names embroidered on the front!

A quick hug from daddy...

One from mommy...

And he's ready to start the day with his teacher, Mrs. Donna!

Mrs. Donna said that he had a great day. He has been singing all of the songs that they learned today and will not stop talking about his new friends! We are very excited for him, although it is hard letting go, even though it's only for a few hours each day!
